Which watches are most water-resistant?

Question by Venus: Which watches are most water-resistant?
I have a number of sports watches that are water-resistant 100 meters = 10 atmospheres=328 feet. I see a lot of models water-resistant 200-300 meters. Rolex’s “Sea Dweller” is water-resistant 1220m. IWC made 500m and 2000m models. The deepest recognized component of the ocean is the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench near Guam. It really is 11,800 meters deep. Can any watches dive that deeply?

No definatly no and I dont believe you would want a watch at that level of dive

They have very strong cases milled from a solid piece of metal.

Some are filled with nitrogen to keep the water out.

You must visit a diving specialty store to find yout answer.

Simple answer to main question: the ones with the highest depth/pressure ratings.

But no, there are no watches rated to the depths of the abyssal plains (about 3000-4000 m), never mind anything deeper, because there is no conceivable gas mixture which an unprotected diver could use safely at such depths. So making such a diver’s watch would be pointless (except as a publicity stunt).

Anyone visiting that kind of depth will be ‘dry-diving’ in a deep submersible or bathysphere — which would certainly not be equalised with the external pressure. The deepest that an unprotected diver has ever gone in the ocean is ~500 m, and a diver in an ‘atmospheric diving suit’ recently reached ~600 m.
